The Vantec M.2 NVMe PCIe x4 Low Profile Adapter with 110 Length Support is a product designed to provide additional M.2 NVMe SSD support. However, the motherboard compatibility for booting from this drive has been reported as problematic. One customer reports that it functioned within expectations for eight months before issues started occurring; intermittently not seen by the motherboard. They do not recommend this product. Another customer successfully put a 3rd NVMe SSD into a mini-ITX build in a Morex 557 case. They found that the instruction was a bit confusing but ultimately correct. They liked how the heatsinking is all on the bottom side of the NVMe drive and that it appears to be effective on a 970 PRO drive, which is one of the hotter running drives.
