DMM Active Protection Editorial Review
The DMM Dragon Cam is a great option for those looking for a durable and easy to use cam for their climbing needs. It is praised for being smoother than the Black Diamond cam and having an extendable runner built into the cam, which provides protection from cam walking, without the need for a runner. The range of coverage is comparable to the Black Diamond cam and the lack of a thumb loop has not been an issue for most users. However, some users may need to replace the dyneema sling every couple of years, which may be a hassle for some. Nonetheless, the DMM Dragon Cam is a great option for free climbing.
