Overall, customers seem to have had a mostly positive experience with the Allen Sports 4-Bike Hitch Racks . Most found it easy to install and appreciated the locking mechanism that came with it. However, some customers had issues with the plastic locking mechanism breaking and the plastic strap hook loop splitting after the first use. There seems to be some debate over whether 29er bikes, girls bikes without cross bars, and kids BMX type bikes fit, but most seem to have had no issues. Some are disappointed with the instructions that came with the product and others noted that the rack is not completely secure, as someone could remove a bolt or two to steal the bikes. However, the majority of customers found the rack sturdy and like the fold-down feature for the horizontal bike holder.
