The DataComm Electronics, Inc. 45-0023-WH Recessed Pro-Power Kit with Straight Blade Inlet - White, 2 gang with Power Kit is a great product that works well. However, the installation process is more complicated than it should be as it doesn't include the required in-wall Romex wiring. The product comes with a recessed cable plate with power, a recessed cable plate with a straight blade inlet, a 6 ft. extension cord, two old work electrical boxes, 12 ft. of non-metallic electrical wire, and three wire nuts. The instructions, though weak and needing more photos, suggest that you must first make sure to avoid wall studs as they will be in the way. Then, use the provided template to cut out openings where the outlet boxes will go. Once these openings are made, thread the Romex wire from one opening to the next, breaking off the four "tabs" inside the gang boxes, where the Romex will go. Take care to strip the Romex, bend it gently, and make it fit snugly into the gang boxes. Loop the black/white/ground wires and attach them to the corresponding screws of the top outlet. This is a tricky step as the wire can be hard to bend and isn't very long. Screw the faceplate and top outlet into place. Next, use the orange pigtails to tie the bottom outlet wiring together, taking care to match the colors. Once that's done, screw the faceplate to the wall, use the white extension cord to bridge the bottom outlet to your existing wall outlet, plug in your TV, and you should be good to go. There are some issues with the installation process - namely, the product doesn't come with the required wiring and the instructions aren't as helpful as they could be. However, the product works well and is generally easy to install if you're comfortable with electrical work.
