Question:
Can I fit a 6 3/4 speaker in this?
Answer: Possibly. They can be modified. If nothing else, it makes for a good template. Driver side box wasn't deep enough on mine, so I used it and 1/2 ply to make the speaker fit. -
Question:
Are they supposed to be different sizes? Or is that an issue with the part itself?
Answer: Honestly, I don't know if they are supposed to be different sizes. It just didn't make any sense to me on how to use it without the doors being caught up in it. Unless you have to modify it to fit, it defeats the purpose of the purchase. -
Question:
Can this be installed with the original speaker cover on it? The one that says 'bose' on it and is like a fabric.
Answer: Yes, it can. Not all of the holes lined up on my 91 300zx, but it did work and we have no issues. We did have to trim part of the original housing on the driver's side to fit our speaker, but that had nothing to do with the cover.
